Sablesilver:
You can do that. No issue. So long as your intention is to move into your new place.Hi everyone,
Need an advice please.
I registered my DS at a school near the place we are currently staying at during the most recent phase 2C registration. However, the lease of our rented place is due to expire end of August. If he doesn't get accepted at that school during ballotting, can I look for another rented place instead and register him near that place instead during phase 3?
Take note that by phase 3 registration, we have not moved into the new place yet, may only have lease contract duly stamped and notarized. Can that be accepted during registration for Phase 3? And say, if current place is Admiralty, but wants to move to Punggol (because this is where I want to buy property within the next three years). Will that cause an issue/alarm?
Because if so, then we will just opt to renew our lease in our curent place.
I admit that I was not prepared with the primary one registration process and did not plan way ahead. The result is this, stress :scared:
Just want an advice really. If there will be no issue moving far distance and registering with a soon-to-rent legal lease contract, then we'll go with that(my preferred option). However, if it's better to stay, then we'll stay.
Thanks in advance for your input. -
Thanks jtoh!

Suppose I got my eldest daughter into the desired school based on distance ,rented a place within 1km which required balloting in Phase 2C. Can I shift to another place (beyond 1 km from the school) after staying in the place for say 2 years. Would my second daughter’s enrollment into the same primary be affected by this move?

The short answer is NO.
As long as you did not intentionally tried to workaround the rules and not caught doing so if you did, then you are safe. -
