Nespresso Coffee Machine
-
Hi SHMForest,
Some of the sales people aren't too friendly. But I've had a couple of very friendly ones who happily offered capuccino, and explained all about the machines to my dh and me while we sipped away.
Guess if you're not in a hurry you can wait for the next promo. In the meantime try out different flavors.

I think I saw the limited edition in Paris and London when I was there in June. It was totally sold out in London (I only saw the advertising leaflet) whereas in Paris they still had quite a lot. However I’m not a coffee person (was at the shop buying for friends) and since Paris was my first stop, I didn’t get the limited edition as I didn’t want to lug too many things with me. But by the time I got to London and decided I could probably get the limited ed capsules for my friends, it was too late.

I’m surprised Paris still had the LE in June. You’re talking about Onirio right? The white capsule? That was released in April if I remember correctly. It was sold out in Singapore in weeks.

Yes, white packaging. Looks christmas-y.

It's Onirio then. Rather light. I'm looking forward to the Christmas ones.

Finally!! Got our hands on our Nespresso machine and the Aerocinno during the Tangs cardsmembers day!!! :rahrah: :boogie:
We havent got the capsules yet though... now, just sampling the ones that was given.. and havent decided which one to buy yet.
Question on the Aerocinno though... there's 2 different frother. 1 with a wire coil around, which is supposed to froth milk, and 1 just a black coil.. Anyone knows how the one with the wire coil will churn out the milk froth? For some reason, both of mine turns out the same way!! So, im worried if i had gotten a faulty one? Do i call up Nespresso to check or should i head back to Tangs? I asked my hub if need to register warranty with Nespresso and he says he has no idea!! Argghhh.. he bought it at the store, and didnt ask properly!
Appreciate if someone can advise! Thanks! -

The wire coil frother is for making capuccino, so it gives you frothier milk. The plain coil is for making latte, so the milk is less frothy. If you're making milk only for 1 cup, then the plain coil will also give you a frothy result. You can tell the difference if you make milk for two cups. The coiled wire frother will give you a much thicker and frotheir result compared to the plain wire.
With regards to the warranty, the salespeople at Robinsons and Tangs should fill it up for you and have it registered with Nespresso. It may take a while for the info to be up on the Nespresso register. If you're impatient, you can always call up Nespresso and they'll do an on the phone registration for you. Or you can register online. Not a problem.
Enjoy your cuppa! -
thanks jtoh!!
hmmm... wonder if something maybe wrong? both coils doesnt froth up the milk at all. it's just heated up... but i realised also that i didnt pour alot of milk... once it was just to the first marking... and the last 2 times, half of the first marking cos' i was just making for 1 cup... is that the reason why? but... it really has no froth at all.... hmmm... :scratchhead: -
SMH FOREST:
When you pour the frothed up milk into your cup, it should be mostly milk with the top layer frothy. I would say at least 1 cm of froth. That's with the latte coil. If you use the cappuccino coil you should get even more froth. Why don't you go to the Nespresso boutique and ask them to make you a cup of cappuccino and you take a look at the froth level and see if it's the same as yours.thanks jtoh!!

Hehehe... thanks jtoh for your reply!
I pour to the max this morning using the cappuccino coil and it froths up! Finally! Dunno why it didnt froth the other time. I think it didnt even spin the last time!? And today, I can see it spinning!! The feeling was.... WOOO HOOOOO!!! :boogie: :boogie:
Actually, when i used the latte coil the last 2 days, there's no froth too! Hahaha, something must have gone wrong somewhere... will try the latte froth again tmr morning!
When I visited both taka and tangs, whenever i asked abt the aerocinno, they are not so willing to do it for me to sample... both places just verbally told me how its supposed to work... so, at both places, i left it at that...
