Does anyone know what assessment books are Polaris using?

I assume you're referring to P1. If not wrong, they are as follows:

English: Challenging English 4-in-1 (EPH)
Maths: Step-by-Step Maths (EPH)
Chinese: Excel in Higher Chinese by Li Ai Mei (EPH)

You can find all these books in Popular. Polaris usually use EPH assessment books.

Thanks! I'm a kiasu mother, so wanted to get some other assessment books for DD to practice at home.
And yes, DD is in Pri 1.

Hi, can anyone advise whether homework load is hectic in P1?

My gal in P1 this year. Some days she has tons of homework but some days none. Noticed that usually when she gets lots of homework is when teachers get them to practice / revise for the coming mastery tests. But on those days, she can get homework for 2 or 3 core subjects - maths, english and chinese. I really pity her for those days as she really does homework till she is so sleepy at night. We are worried that the grandma has no time to get her to do homework in the morning. When she was on 3 to 4 days mc for fever, the homework catch-up to keep up with the days she missed school was really quite tough on her.

I'm contemplating whether 2 withdraw her from her math enrichment class with CMA when she in P1 next yr. This is wat I heard fr other tat NCPS is now more academic oriented n result driven. Nevertheless, I think it may beneficial to our kids....

I felt the homework load is subjective to the class…


I withdrew my girl from her Maths enrichment class back in Dec, fearing she will be overloaded… But after Pri 1 started, she finished most of her works in school and hardly bring home any… in the end, its she herself who requested to continue her Maths enrichment…

She only needs to pack her bag daily if not for her enrichment homeworks, beside the occasional LMS online which the school wants her to complete over weekends.
