            Sprawling? It's exactly the same premises they had all along. ;D Just that they did A&A to some of the buildings only.

            Supposed to be ready by next year. But still looks quite much under construction. Dh says it's possible to complete the works shortly and be ready for January, but they would have to *rush*. By the looks of it, maybe can estimate 2nd Quarter of next year, earliest. ;D

              The new building will be ready by June 2012.

                how much Catholic teaching curriculum is imparted to students in this Secondary school ?

                does the school still teach character building values, at Secondary level ?

                do students need to attend Mass chapel ?
                how often each week ?
                what is taught during Mass ?

                  Schools these days are barred by MOE guidelines from making religious activities compulsory. Likewise, in SNGS, generally it's the Catholic girls who attend Mass. Any others are welcome to attend if they so choose to do so, of course. Mass is like at 7am before lessons start and does overlap sometimes with the 1st period, so some girls will still not go. I think there's morning mass at least once a week. And there's also Bible Class. For Non-Catholics, they can choose to attend a non-Catholic one.

                  There will nevertheless be prayers at morning assembly, but nothing like Mass. I think the only \"mass\" that all girls will attend is like that for the Chinese New Year mass that is held in the field every year.

                      hi Limagnes,

                      for affliation, the affiliation cut-off point for the 2011 Secondary 1 cohort is 211.

                      for the present 2011 Secondary 1 cohort, the entry cut-off point for Non-affliation schools is 249.

                      difference of 38 points.

                      the cut-off point for this year P6 students will depend on market demand forces, ie. the number of affiliated students applying for St Nick, and at what points they obtain in PSLE.

                      note:-
                      ====

                      there is No open house planned for this year, as the school is shifting back to our permanent site at Ang Mo Kio, Street 13 - come June 2012.

                        I heard that the school would be imposing a their own stated \"cut-off point\" for affiliated students soon. Not sure what it would be though.
