DSA 2011
-
Thanks to ALL for the good wishes!
Funx3:
:congrats: TREX8!TREX8:
DD got CO from RGS, NYGH and SOTA (Theatre Arts - just got the letter from my letterbox last night). At this point in time, it is NYGH as first choice.
Your Gal Is Really Great .... Clinched ALL 3 CO's! -
dingdang:
Hi dingdang,M really envious of those who have received CO. My DD didn't even have the chance to go for NYGH's interview. I've mentally prepared her that her DSA application isn't successful n she has to work hard to go in thru her impressive PSLE results.
Here's wishing all, all the best in their dream schools.
All the best to your DD. Hope she excels in her PSLE and get into her dream sch. :xedfingers: -
So funny - conjures up the image of arranged marriage.
At the end of the day, if love comes along, all criteria also throw out of window - 要挡也挡不住.
The only blessing is DD is at the \"boys are juvenile\" and \"I'm not going to get married\" phase. So will be (hopefully) a while before we need to worry too much.verykiasu2010:
you and your DH can set up the DSA process for your DD's boy friend to be
vlim:
Ya trex8 can set gat, interview and audition date for future son in law
... Gep can skip all ? -

No no, no... NO time to date in JC. Maybe in Uni have lah.
Got plenty of time to date in JC and Uni.
-
better date in Uni.
if date in JC and got BGR relationship breakup, can cause havoc in A level results, esp. for those coming in via IP way, bec no more GCE O level safety net. The last cert obtained was PSLE. -
phankao:
Can lah. Go on group dates etc. Get used to being around opposite sex. If not by the time they go to Uni they may become socially awkward. Then parents and relatives will ask every CNY \"Ah boy/Ah girl, got girlfriend/boyfriend already or not?\"

:rotflmao:[/quote]got time in JC, meh? I'm sure that with all their activities/cca, they have plenty of time to mix around the opposite gender.
I really don't see what's the \"advantage\" or having gf/bf, leh - or even getting married for that matter. Save a lot of trouble without. If it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. That's really fine, wat. -

Some people want to spend the rest of their lives with a loved one and procreate, others choose not to. To each his own. -
jtoh:
My dd is in JC. Her time already full of cca & loads of remedials. She barely has time to study and do homework. I surely wouldn't want her to add BGR to that! The cca friends and class friends do go out during school, after school, going for practices outside (even on Sundays/Saturdays). All are generally mixed-gender groups as is expected from groups from JCs. Why would there need to be any \"group dates\" then?
