I was trying to incorporate maths & family concept in my conversation with my 4yo son:

Me: meimei is 2 years younger than u. u have to take care of her ok?
      Son: ok, mummy
Me: how old is meimei when u r 6?
      Son: 4
…a few other similar questions in between…
Me: hmm…how old will meimei be when u r 18?
      Son: 16
…it’s getting abit mundane, so I added another question
Me: how about mummy? how old will I be when u r 18?
Son: ???..(after a long pause)…die already (serious face)

I didn’t know how to react. as I know there is a possibility that it might happened. mixed feeling about his reply…

I was talking to my 6 yrs old girl recently after the school registerations were over. It goes like this:-

Me: You will be in a girls school, there will be no boys in your class
DD: Good prefer girls, don't have to worry about boyfriends
Me: Its O.K to have friends who is a boy, nothing wrong in it.
DD: No, if I have one. i have to marry him eventually. I want to live with you forever, don\"t want to get marry. (Hopes she tell me this 20yrs down the road)
Me: Does not mean if you have boyfriends you have to marry him.
DD: Then why you marry daddy
        Me: :whut:

          mrswongtuition:
My 2.5yo boy is 'dirty minded'. Everytime we walk past lingerie shop, he'll stop to stare at the poster. Ask him what is he looking at & he'll point at the poster & say \"OH! Mummy see! Big nana! Oh so yummy!\".

p/s: my hb does not talk to me like that at all 😛
mrswongtuition, your 2.5 yo is not dirty-minded...to him, the bxeasts equate to food! You must have been bfeeding him well! :celebrate:

DS2 is almost 2.5 year old now.

We bought the boys each a penguin at the bird park and DS1 named his penguin Polar, male, 6 years old (same age as DS1).

DS2 named his penguin 'This' (couldn't extract other details out from DS2 due to his limited vocabulary at this point in time). But he is darn sure his penguin's name is 'This' cos we asked him many times by rephrasing our questions.

Told our lady tenant the names of the boys' penguins, but somehow she forgot about DS2's penguin's name. She only managed to remember that DS2's penguin's name is 'often used in daily sentences'.

Conversation between my tenant and DS2 one morning (when DS2 came running to her to show off his 'smelly' penguin).
            Tenant: Wow, nice penguin
DS2: *hugs the penguin even more*
Tenant: Err... wat is this toy's name?
DS2: *Looks at her* (we suspect bec DS2 finds it weird that the auntie ask about the name, though she already said out his penguin's name)
Tenant: Err... I mean, is the name of THIS toy called 'Now'?
DS2: *Looks at her as his eyes grew larger and looks at his 'This'*
            (after a while)
            DS2: PENGUIN!

My tenant was like :stupid:, of course it's a penguin.
But after we told her it's name, she suddenly realised that she was the funny one. She was laughing at herself and .

Yes. From the same DD who mentioned

                    the \"happy marriage\" thingy...
Guess that shows how often both of us
are on KSP when the kiddies are still awake.

She also asked why we didn't use our real names
and pictures. So to me at least, it was a fantastic
time to explain to her the anonymity part on
                    cyberspace networking (etc) which she
                    absorbed with much wide-eyed interest.

She now knows how to ask to see/read certain
threads on KSP when i'm on... She also asks me
whether the mummies i've helped advise on the
subjects of reading, or math and stuff have managed
to get them done successfully or whether their kiddies
can now read or count effectively or not in result of those
                    sharing sessions of mine...

She's too young to sign up for KSP membership lah. 😛
