This is exactly how I feel! Quite stressful thinking about it especially since harder times are coming :scared:

I look at DH’s bank statement and think of it as mine!

By reading all of yr posting, I salute all mommies for doing great jobs. No doubt we r nagging (force to be one), but I believe when our kids grow up, they will appreciate our efforts.


Only regret - financially dependent on hb.

ectanz, no regrets being SAHM. not even when it actually makes me a bigger nag. being at home more means i nag more, definitely. and being the one who does all the housework now (compared to in the past being a FTWM living with ils and having helper), of course i get angrier at kids when they make a mess or are forgetful... inevitable.

so mommies, when our kids reach sec sch stage, time for us to find something to do? like part-time work? or would u still prefer to be full time SAHM?

Hi kabalevsky, when our kids reach sec stage, this is where they r in the most rebellious period. I think my hb will prefer me to stay at hm to TAKE CARE of them when necessary. However I maybe go for full-time job if the situation permits.

When kids in P1/P2, thot I'll just be SAHM for 2-3 years, then go back work.
Now in P4/P5, think I better wait till they finish PSLE.
But after hearing/reading stories about all the rebelling teens, wondering if I should continue to stay home.....probably will look for part-time rather than full-time....but think it's easier said than done. Also, with the recession coming, a bit fearful cos' depend on single income right now and one never knows what to expect in the job market.

Personally, I dun mind being a SAHM......but think I am still very disorganized so still lotsa things and backlogs everyday. ONE FINE DAY, when all is cleared off........I will start my exercise regime, go shopping, watch DVDs....enjoy a bit before I start working (be it part or full time) again....

Like all you mummies here, I also worry about the impending world economic thunderstorm especially on a single income…that’s why electing the right person as our state president is so so impt, but that’s another thread.
