I just called nygh today. No more Dsa positions available for my dd… Sigh… Didn’t even get called for an interview.

The good news is, njc ability test results not yet out. So there’s still chance for my dd. Furthermore, I heard non-gep students got equal chances with gep students too…I certainly hope this is true.

Congrats to everyone who gets CO and WL from MUSH.

As for my DS, hopefully this will serve as a wake up call for him.
          Still not taking everything seriously.

Btw I called NJC . Phase 2 camp is on 20/8 and interview supposedly on 27/8 so they will need to make other arrangement for interview. Successful candidates for the camp will be informed between 15 to 17/8.

As for RI, i called just now and a lady at the office told me results will be posted out by 29/8

I emailed RI admission office last week and they replied saying the result will be out somewhere mid aug by post.

wonder is 10 -12 Aug belong to 'somewhere mid august '
          :scratchhead: 😉

If my DD gets called for interview, does that mean she has a rather high chance of getting a CO in the school?

:congrats: Tinkerbelle, pinky88, gnagna and realwhiz on CO and WL. Just came back from NYGH tea session today. About 90 girls (mainly GEP) were given their CO letter today and DD said that most of the girls whom she chatted with have at least 2 COs- from NYGH and RGS. So WL at NYGH should have quite a good chance since some of these girls would give up their NYGH CO.

P of NYGH asked those with more than one CO to email her if they do not intend to take up NYGH CO so that she can better manage her WL. I thought it was very nice of the P to do that as it shows that she understands the anxiety of those girls and their parents who are on the WL.

I was at the NYGH tea session last Friday as well. What surprised me a little was why are there so many RGPS girls -- I estimate about 40+ (2 sheets of paper on the attendance list) but only say 20-30 NYPS. I remembered at the GE Fiesta which was held back in May, I noticed a large crowd of NYPS but only a handful of RGPS.

Anyone has any 'theory' about this ?

There are 3 GEP classes in RGPS and 4 GEP classes at NYPS. Of the 4 GEP classes at NYPS, I assume less than half are girls. So based on numbers alone, there would be more GEP girls at RGPS than NYPS. BUT a number of the girls at RGPS are non-Chinese, so they wouldn't be applying to NYGH. Still I would have expected more NYPS girls than the 20-30 at the tea session.
