[Bukit Timah] Primary Schools
-
Hi, I was one of the parents there. Before d day, I was really worried but this morn, we were kind of relaxed and resigned to fate  BUT when the balloting started (actually oonly 61 kids for 55 places, 1 kid not within 1 km), our hearts started to beat furiously.. luckily, my son's no was the 16th to be called, so spared us a heart attack! Sad for the unlucky 6 parents, the twins definitely took away 2 chances of balloting.
This is my happiest day and we can relaxed n enjoy the national day...

 Not sure what are the plans of parents who were unfortunate...feel for them...no one wants to be in such a position...even at within 1km...

Hi Atan
Congratulation, btw today is your lucky day for balloting. Are u wearing red shirt today? -
Hi Wswslim,
Hehe  I had deliberately put on a pink T-shirt, for good luck

Congrats 2u!
Did u see e board outside general office? MOE website? It's actually 62 applications.. Hmm.. But now who cares right...Hehe! In fact for girls who apply Nanyang 1km, at least there's a RGS to fall back. For boys, choices are limited. -
Is there anyone who is / was a NYPS PV?

I'm interested to register my daughter in Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School, however, my house is beyond 2 km from the school. My husband is old boy of Jurong Primary School. Hence, please tell me should I take the risk to register my daughter in Pei Hwa? -
skmummy:
If you are shooting for the 2009 registration exercise, it might be too late now for you to consider Pei Hwa. In the past 3 years, Pei Hwa's Phase 2C has been constrained to balloting only to those within the 2km and 1km zones. And since you cannot get into Phase 2C, you can only try for Phase 2B. However, that would require you to PV for Pei Hwa, but PV registration for 2009 has been long closed since 1 Jul 2008.[Moderator's Note: Topics merged.]

You did not indicate where you are staying, and if Jurong Primary is close to your home. -
Thanks for the reply.
Actually I’ve registered for PV for Pei Hwa and is awaiting for the outcome of whether I’m selected. Notification will be sent to Parents by end-Aug 2008.
FYI. I’m staying at Hillview Ave and thought its quite inconvenient to get to Jurong Primary by public transport.
Appreciate if you could share with me your views on Jurong Primary School? Understand that they have classes which includes elements of GEP. -

Have you not consider Bukit Panjang Pri?

I think it is nearer than Jurong Pri.
