I'm interested to register my daughter in Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School, however, my house is beyond 2 km from the school. My husband is old boy of Jurong Primary School. Hence, please tell me should I take the risk to register my daughter in Pei Hwa?

If you are shooting for the 2009 registration exercise, it might be too late now for you to consider Pei Hwa. In the past 3 years, Pei Hwa's Phase 2C has been constrained to balloting only to those within the 2km and 1km zones. And since you cannot get into Phase 2C, you can only try for Phase 2B. However, that would require you to PV for Pei Hwa, but PV registration for 2009 has been long closed since 1 Jul 2008.

You did not indicate where you are staying, and if Jurong Primary is close to your home.

            Thanks for the reply.

Actually I’ve registered for PV for Pei Hwa and is awaiting for the outcome of whether I’m selected. Notification will be sent to Parents by end-Aug 2008.

FYI. I’m staying at Hillview Ave and thought its quite inconvenient to get to Jurong Primary by public transport.

Appreciate if you could share with me your views on Jurong Primary School? Understand that they have classes which includes elements of GEP.

Have you not consider Bukit Panjang Pri?
I think it is nearer than Jurong Pri.

                    Hi all

Congratulations to all parents who managed to get into their schs of choice and good luck for those who are still in the \"battle\".

We are fortunate to be able to get into Nanyang Pri Sch and would like to hear anyone who had.have experiences with the sch in terms of their sch cultures. discipline & academics.

Is it true that children at NYPS do not have enjoy themselves at the sch?

                      Dear darthsl

Firstly, congratulations on your successful enrollment into one of SG’s popular schools. But frankly, why are you concern with this. I’m sure that you have evaluate the school well enough before deciding to enroll with them. Even if the answer to your question is YES, are you comtemplating to withdraw your child.

                      Sorry but JMHO.

                      Regards
                      Raynreg

                        Hi raynreg

Thanks for your HO and it is true that we have evaluated the sch before making our decision.

Now that we have successfully enrolled, we would like to have more views on how to better manage and ensure that our child has fond memories of the sch when he graduated.
