skmummy:
Have you not consider Bukit Panjang Pri?
FYI. I'm staying at Hillview Ave and thought its quite inconvenient to get to Jurong Primary by public transport.
I think it is nearer than Jurong Pri. -
I heard that Bukit Panjang primary also a good school. Also quite popular school around that area too, not too far from Hillview.
-
As mentioned before, as my husband is an Old boy of Jurong Pirmary.
That is why i am trying to find out more on the School. -

Hi all
Congratulations to all parents who managed to get into their schs of choice and good luck for those who are still in the \"battle\".
We are fortunate to be able to get into Nanyang Pri Sch and would like to hear anyone who had.have experiences with the sch in terms of their sch cultures. discipline & academics.
Is it true that children at NYPS do not have enjoy themselves at the sch? -
Dear darthsl
Firstly, congratulations on your successful enrollment into one of SG’s popular schools. But frankly, why are you concern with this. I’m sure that you have evaluate the school well enough before deciding to enroll with them. Even if the answer to your question is YES, are you comtemplating to withdraw your child.
Sorry but JMHO.
Regards

Hi raynreg
Thanks for your HO and it is true that we have evaluated the sch before making our decision.
Now that we have successfully enrolled, we would like to have more views on how to better manage and ensure that our child has fond memories of the sch when he graduated. -
I think the stress usually come from the parents.
If there is pressure to excel in class and the kid feels inadequate, then naturally they won’t be enjoying themselves. More important to instill the right attiture towards learning. -
My primary one child is in NYPS. So far he loves going to school.

Hi, my girl has gotten into Pei Hwa although my 1st choice was MGS as i always wanted her to go to a girls' school. Unfortunately we have to ballot for MGS and not even 50% chance, so decided not to take the risk.
Is there anyone whose kids are in Pei Hwa now or anyone knows much about this school? Is there any affiliated secondary school?
Thank you. -
Hi skmummy
You might want to move your question to "Schools In Jurong East" to alert all readers who have kids attending JP to reply. For now, the topic is Schools in Bukit Timah. My kid is in JP. I will reply you in the other thread if you are still interested.
