Hi QMS,Hi Titank!
What is your concern in getting uniform from the school bookshop? Perhaps you would like to call the bookshop to see if your concerns can be resolved? The contact number is 9489 1533.
Thanks. Guess only can get the uniform from the Bookshop. I just thought perhaps can get uniform from outside supplier shop where they do open after office hours period.
Cannot imagine where there be 240 students try uniform on the oridentation day. :!: -

Hi Titank!
Perhaps you can check with them, and see if they have shops elsewhere. -

try to go with your spouse. while one parent attends the orientation, the other can queue up to buy the uniform (bring along a shirt/shorts of your kid's size if your kid is attending the orientation) and books. although some letter state that sale of books/uniform starts after the briefing, don't be surprised that due to the long queue, some of the vendors actually do start selling the stuff early.

... Never fail to learn something from this website.
I haven't even been thinking about what are we gg to do on orientation day. In this context, NCPS going to have 300 students trying on uniforms on orientation day ?!!!.... :? -

Hi Jedamum!
Actually, we don't have to buy the school uniform on the orientation day itself, right? We have until 31 Dec to purchase the uniform, don't we? :? -

I suppose it is not absolutely necessary to buy on the orientation day. But since all the vendors will be there on that day, it's kind of a one-stop shop, instead of having to buy different items (uniforms, books, etc) on different days? -

sashimi and I went together and I queued up for shoes and he queued up for uniforms (not PE attire). Since my queue was shorter, DD went with me and tried the shoes first. Then, sashimi called me using his hp (cos he was at the other end of the canteen) and I told DD to go over to find daddy.titank,

Later, at the bookshop queue, I queued while sashimi ran home (nearby) to get his cheque book cos we were low on cash with no ATM in sight. Lesson learned: Bring lots of cash.
Luckily, my PILs were supposed to drop by that day and so they joined us in the queue. At the bookshop, we got almost all that DD needed (a few items were out of stock). We also got her PE attire there. So being early and buying on the first day doesn't always mean that everything you need will be in stock. Also check whether PE attire and uniforms are sold by the same vendor. In our case, it's not. -
