We did that in November last year. It was manageable.

I took the turbojet from HKIA to Macau in June this year, it was really rough. There were quite a no. of passengers who vomitted during the journey. I suppose it really depends on the weather.

            Hi MMM,

Thanks for the reply ! We are planning a 8D/7N trip to HK/Macau during the school hols. In HK, we’ll also be staying 1 night in Disneyland.

What would be your recommendation on the sequence of stays ?
            Hongkong city => Disneyland => Macau ?
Or Disneyland => Hongkong city => Macau ?

Which would be less hassle in terms of transportation of luggage, because we are travelling with 2 kids, 7 and 3.

            Thank you very much

i am pretty bad on sea trip. everytime, i step onto one, even to macau (such a short trip), i will still vomit even if it is smooth journey.

You can take the motion sickness pills but it usually cause drowsiness. I coped well this time round as I kept my eyes closed as I was in between flights and feeling jet lagged after traveling back from US.

For years, I felt that there is a smell on sq flights and I could not take in-flight meals even for biz class. I just felt nausea. Then did I realized that I was actually suffering from motion sickness.

i am one who would feel very sleepy after taking cough syrup. so everytime i am sick, i can only take my medicine once a day which is at nite. thus i am very mindful about taking all types of pills.

Hong Kong is the best place to travel in Christmas vacation. This is the perfect place for Christmas celebration. I always go to Goa in India for celebration of Christmas vacation. This is also the best place for Christmas.

Last yr we did Hk with 4 senior citizens, 3 kids plus us.bad spent around 7-8 days. It was f&e so we travel by bus and mtr. For us, we based in tst and did a daytrip to Disney. In fact, when we went to Macau, we left our big luggage at the Hk hotel and only brought along a haversack. We pack light so that we can take care of kids and parents while boarding.

We only stay in Macau for 1 night. With 2 kids tagging along, this is probably enough as you won't have time to go casino hopping. Hubby and I went back to Macau this yr for 4d3n we went to zhuhai and also did casino hopping. things that we can do without the kids.

One consideration is if you come back directly from Macau, each person can collect hkd 100 cash. If you intend to come back via Macau, ensure you book your ferry ticket to hkia in advance. Note the timing is not as regular so pls check before that and ensure you cater sufficient tme for your flight back to Singapore. You can also check in your luggage via ferry but we din try that as we are worried that our luggage will go missing and we have to wait for them to unload from ferry.

From logistics, it is better to do disney, Hk and then Macau.

Wow...that's a lot of people! I assume that you stayed in the same hotel throughout...so the hotel can keep the luggage for you?
If so, I would prefer to adopt the same way as you 🙂 Less hassle and can buy more things in HK...hahaha...

Never mind, I can forgo the HKD100 for less logistic problems.
