So PH uses the lottery ball method of balloting...that would be FUN for the ONE rolling the big ball butPlan to let the kids have some fun at home (provided they finished their homewks) but its 1pm and they are still \"crawling''... ... dunno what time will they finished all the outstanding homewks

So far, did not hear of any other schools using this lottery method for balloting. I would say that this is the fairest method. Hard for the paper slips to move from the bottom to the top or left to right under the traditional balloting method. The P was very nice. Kept encouraging parents whose kids' nos. had not been drawn to go to the front to crank the cage.
Hi Willow, Scary,
My DD's ballot no. is 14. Honesty, I didn't pin high hope when I got this no. cos got '4' mah which is not a nice no. as traditional chinese believer!
Dun u gals think is such a coincidence? Our nos all in same range, i.e. tens... :imcool:
Btw, not all schools are using this lottery balloting method. One of my colleague's sch in the east still using traditional paper slips method. I also felt this lottery method ball is fairer!
Btw Willow, did ur hubby went to put the balls into the cage that day? And he kissed balls no.12 before he puts in? I rem my hubby told me it was no.12...
If yes, must thank him for his lucky hands cos our kids all balloted in! :boogie:
Lastly, either events (BBQ or lantern taking) is fine with me... I'll go with the majority! :rahrah:
Oh yes, my hubby was the very first who volunteered in cranking the cage + putting the no. 1 - 10 into it. The very first ball that dropped out was No. 55. I was telling my hubby then that I thought our no. was supposed to be 55 cos DS was the no. 55 within 1km for the registration.
Except for No. 25, did any of you realise that as long as one's no. is not above the PR's, one has a higher chance? No. 14, 24, 44 were all balloted in. So did No. 13. The so-called unpopular nos. are actually no difference from others. In fact, 41-49 were all in! -

did you check the size of the ball to make sure it was small enough to fall out from the hole? hahaha.....So far, did not hear of any other schools using this lottery method for balloting. Side track.. The more I read past posts in this thread, the more humbled I felt. There's really a lot of useful info buried deep in the pages & lots of discovery for me. If only I could absorb them all.. hee.. in the spirit of a true KS parent, but that's not possible unless I do a brain memory chip upgrade. -

My son will be getting his revision done on those days...with outings to IMM or Bukit Panjang Plaza as yours truly here needs time-out. I appreciate these extra days as I've started SA2 revision for the 'A' books...cannot play-play as he's in P5 this year. Daughter in P1 has her tests in Aug to prepare for.
