What I gathered from KSP forum is that for 2011, even the pri sch is under different GRC, but that does not apply for 2011 pri registration. So I hope this rule doesn't change in next GE. PV is still the best way to go but must depends whether being selected or not.. -

Normally GE will be 5 years so 2016 will be election again. :evil:

just wonder can I apply PV in a RC which my house does not belong to? Say, I stay in GRC A (my IC address belongs to), but I want to apply PV in GRC B (my target school belongs to). -

Unfortunately you can't. Else you will see alot of people want to join RC in those GRC/SMC where the elite/popular schools reside

Since it is better for children to go to a school near their home, hence GRL serving at theie own GRC and registering into a school in the same GRC makes sense.

Better to go schools which are within 1km, nowadays good schools within 1km for phase 2B also have to ballot. If 2b fail, still can try under 2C.
With a GRC that is so big, but lose out in distance, given many choices of school also no use… -
I agree, and boundary maybe redrawn again before the GE actually start!

Yes you are right, some GRCs are very big. That is why if one consider a school out of ones GRC, under normal circumstances, the distance may be even further.
Having said that, I've heard some said there is a school opposite their block but belongs to another GRC...... If that is the case, will have to look a little further for another school within the same GRC if they plan to take the GRL route.

So regret , I used to be an active YEC member and holds post for 3 years , gav up that cos my boyfriend aka hubby now say I spend too much time on the activities esle now I got more choices ! Now he ask me if need to start to do volunteer work for my kids !
