count me in! :imanangel:
Although i considered newbie to SAHM, only 4 almost 3 mth but my mentality is the same as the rest of u. By the time, my dd1 graduated fr Pri n my dd2 entering 2 P1 will be happened simultaneously. Total will be 12 yrs of being SAHM. I don't think I can able to adapt this kind of hectic n politically working environment.sleepy:
I can't imagine going out to work again after being a SAHM for the past 11 years...maybe can't even fit in at all. This 'dinosaur' better be put in the museum.
Me too! We can display side by side to each other in the museum :hi5:
For this reason, pls count me in if such SAHM museum being setup for us.... -

Hi Ladies,
I'm a DINOSAUR specimen fit for the museum but the champion of assessment books  ...so still have some hope. :rotflmao:
Told my hubby there is NO way I can ever go back to working...bcos I'm used to shopping off-peak hours :imcool: and have a good memory of prices at SUPERMARKETS. -

I agree....you are one of the champions of assessment books. Maybe should offer part-time 'Assessment Consultancy' services

Last night DS1 asked me why children needed to go to school everyday. I replied that it was so that they could learn stuff and play with friends. Then he told me that since Mummy is so clever and knows everything (which is what I often tell him when he tries to argue with me) instead of sending him to school, I could teach him at home and play with him!
:yikes: :faint: :siam:
So I changed my tune...and told him that he needs to go to school so that Mummy can have some rest!!!
Seriously, when DS1 was younger, I was considering homeschooling him. I'm not an educator, but I've got a good brain on my shoulders, and I didn't think I'd do worse than the teachers in school.
But now, after 3 kids, I realise that no way can I homeschool them. I do teach them at home, reinforcing what is done at school, but I look at how their preschool and primary school teachers teach them, and realise that there's so much more to teaching a child. Even if I were very very brilliant (which I am not), I don't think I could teach as well as some of my kids teachers. I just don't have the patience!
Also, it's true lah, I just need them out of the house sometimes!!! -

i told my dh too that he shouldn't expect me to go back to work when the kids grow up. expecting me to drop my career at my peak to care for the kids and when they are grown up, expect me to go back to work when my 'time at home is done', what he take me for huh? :spank:Hi Ladies,

there is so much more than academic learning when attending school. -
Hi Mummies of Club SAHM, I've just written an article in my blog specially dedicated to all of you here. Remember, no matter how some others may see us as insignificant SAHMs but in our children's eyes, we are their world. So give ourselves a pat on the back.
