E/F continues to be the top mainstream classes from P4-6. P, Q and R are GEP classes. I'm not sure but I think fewer than 20 RGPS P3 students get into GEP each year. I could be mistaken. Someone who knows better, please jump in.Do they still maintain E/F class in P4 to P6?
Or majority of the P3E/F already got into P4P/Q/R? -
Last year, 18 students fr RGPS were selected for GEP. E and F are the 2 top mainstream classes and these students have a lot of opportunities to interact with the GEP students in the school. -
This Friday August 28th will be the first round for GEP Selection. There are around 8 girls in my grls class sitting for it.

I heard some parents mentioning about the last lesson too, but all dont seem too sure. I thot there are supposed to be 10 lessons altogether? My girl also keep asking me to be PV for her swimming lesson but till now I haven't done any.
Is next week the last swimming lesson? Although she ever told me there are 7 lessons, I have lost count on it. :stupid:
Anyway it was fun yest, got to meet some of my dd's classmates whom she was eager to introduce to me. Some of the girls are quite friendly too and approached me to ask whose mummy am I? Haha... and a few commented my girl looks like me. Quite a lot of mummies there, plus one grandma and grandpa too. Now my girl wants me to go again but I said no no, cannot waste my leave

Andaiz, about the other thread on use of good vocabulary in composition, I commented on dd using mind mapping to do her composition.
I just had a chance yesterday to ask dd & she told me it was taught by her English teacher last year. Another forumer Mrs Wong commented in another thread that higher ability students tend to use mind mapping to do composition as well. Might be the reason why RGPS teacher is adopting this method to get students to use mind mapping to write composition. -
Hi RGPS mummies
Do you know where do most of the other main stream (non E/F and GEP) girls go after P6? Based on the P6 briefing it seems that most of them go to Cres and St Marg’s. Is that accurate? -
EN:
Thanks for the tip, EN. That'd be in P3, won't it?Andaiz, about the other thread on use of good vocabulary in composition, I commented on dd using mind mapping to do her composition.

I just saw her practice compo in \"King's Cake\" (Part of their Stellar program curriculum) very interesting - idea's there but somehow comes up mangled.
Mebbe I've to brush up on it myself to guide her on \"para\" mindmapping. -
Yest my girl brought back the 50th anniversary year book and showed me happily all the girls from her class, CCA, and school bus.
