Both my nephew (sec 4) and a neighbor DD (sec 2) in Anderson. Both didn't like their school. My nephew says too many Ah Beng/Lian while neighbor complain that the teacher turnover is very high (constantly changing teachers).
I did not probe further other than above casual remarks as I was not interested in this school. So you should check and verify with other sources. -

When you say good sec sch, are you referring to IP sch only? Based on your eg. of NYGH and RGS, these are IP sch. It is better if you can specify your DD’s range or the criteria you are exploring. Good is subjective - what is good for one kid may not be good for another, depending on their level, character, etc.

How about Xinmin Secondary in Hougang? It’s accessible by bus from AMK and over the years, it has gained a good reputation for improving the grades of its students.

Chung Cheng Yishun? Too far or not? I stay in north part of AMK and my neighbours’ girls go to PeiHwa and NanHua secondary. The other next-door neighbours’ girl goes to Anderson (don’t know how they find it).

Mayflower seconary is not too bad either
Pan Ling Ling was from Yio Chu Kang Secondary! I’m always amused at the logo/words they have on the front gate "YCKSS, School of the Arts" (!!!) -
