smurfette3:
Mon is out too. Thur is ok.I am also looking for Pre-pri class for my nephew for TAS. Their existing timing clashes with his swimming class. But I know TAS classes are quite fully packed. Unless you are ok with Monday or Thursday? I can make it for both days. I called them up and they said they may start another Pre-pri class but maybe it will be Monday, or Sunday evening.
I can only make it on Monday and thursday as I am not free on other days to fetch my nephew. -
I think Thurs they do not have classes for now. Actually the days they gave me was monday and sunday evening. For thursday, I can make it from 4- 6 pm. if we have 4 to sign up, I think we can ask TAS to start a class. :xedfingers:

Is this class you are looking to sign up for K2s only? If my k1 can
read and write like a k2, could she join you guys? -
My girl was with TAS for one term plus. Initially, she liked the class as there was point system (collect in millions) and kids gets little gifts at times. However, she wanted to quit after we completed one term. She said the teacher was always rushing through and on a whole she felt she was not learning.
I also found mistakes in the markings when we had some time to go through the worksheets recently. My girl had no idea why she was right/ wrong in answering those questions, further more she was confused due to the markings.
Personally, I like the dynamics of the class - interactive and full of energy. I also think that the teachers are committed. They are able to engage the children unlike some typical school teachers. However, I have doubts about their standard of English (may be some of them). I think they merely follow the system/structure set up by the owner. -
Yes, teacher is very important. So far good thing, my kids’ teachers at TAS are good
and so are my friends’ kids who are at TAS. But there was this one teacher that
was not very good. One of my friend’s girl told her mum that the teacher did not
explain the mistakes made and she also felt teacher rushing through and she
could not understand. My friend liked TAS’s methods and so asked to transfer her
to another class and under that teacher, the girl did well and she really liked
going to class as well.
I wonder if it was the same teacher. For every centre, it is important to know
which teacher can suit your child also. -

I have an extra copy of TAS's Creative writing book to sell(very good condition - bought another copy cos thought the previous one missing). PM me if interested.
Hi ksmummy,
I'm interested. Can I know if the book suits P1 kids? thank you
-
Ya, so far my kids’ teachers are also very dedicated and they teach very well. They have been under 3 different teachers before. The teachers standard of English seems good when I speak to them. Nowadays, they are advised to come at least 5-10 mins earlier
for revision on those areas that they are weak in for synthesis and grammar which is very useful to help them reinforce their weak points.
But important to keep checking if your child can understand. I think if your child could not understand, then also no point. -
Hi,
Is teacher Martin from TAS still at Singpost? What level does he teach? -
From what I know yes, I have a friend whose child is P5 and is at Singapore Post but she is not under Teacher Martin but under Teacher Mae Ann. Both teach P5/6 at Singapore Post. I think the difference is Teacher Mae Ann’s class is more focused on high ability. You may need to call to find out if you can go for trial as I heard the class is full or almost full. Not sure, because I remember my friend saying the class is pretty full.

My kids are currently with both TAS and TLL. Was considering relieving them of their packed schedule by giving up one of them. Asked them and they said they will not give up TLL lessons no matter what. I am now undecided whether to continue to let them continue both or I will decide on their behalf.
In my opinion, TAS is setting a good English foundation for them but then, TLL’s incorporation of current affairs into their lessons which make it so interesting for the kids, have made me quite torn in making a decision.
Any advice ?
