not you lah. i referring to westerners. or even actually Asians who have not eaten durian. they cannot stand either. i have taiwanese friends who think it's disgusting and stinks. then i tease them about their stinky tofu.

Oh, :rotflmao: AM BF is ok, he doesn't have a liking for gravy, tofu and mushy things...

      sounds like my ds2. :rotflmao:

that day that chilli crab you posted. he likes? if he likes then ok, confirm chop and guaranteed pass. šŸ˜† :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

        kabalevsky:

cannot blame them. i think the environment and food eaten when young very crucial.

my ds1 was 3 and ds2 was 1 when we went to US. by the time we returned to Sg, ds1 was 6 and ds2 4yo. Just 3 years abroad with no durian...

I remember distinctly ds2 ate durians before we left Sg. we let both boys try since young since Dh and I love durians. always eating durians.

but somehow, after 3 yrs no durians, and that crucial period when they're trying new foods and having eating habits set, my ds2 now absolutely hates durians! i just CANNOT get him to eat any, or even lick some... or even to eat durian-flavoured desserts. :faint:

but ds1, initially very resistant to it when back in Sg at 6, now dare to try a bit. i attribute it to him eating it for 3 yrs before going to US.

heng ah, for dd, who was born here and then now 18mth, she eats durians like a pro. she can polish off the seeds until very clean and shiny, plus she even wants to bite into the seed!
My DD1 is ok, she likes those very sweet ones. For mao shang wan, she can only take one seed. For my DS, it's a bit strange, initially really like but now not so, maybe must buy the type he likes. For bb, let her tried at about 11 months, she gave me the weird look but think becos of the high level of trust built during breastfeeding, she still finish every spoonful that I fed her heehee

Big snoopy , you can find udders outlets at west mall and somewhere in Thomson, the row of shophouse next to united sq.

Kabby, haha I love durian too. Your 18 months DD is such a pro, can enjoy the durian at such young age n \"clean\" the seed:)
my DD also likes durian, and she is also quite pro but I normally let her have 3 seeds the most-and get her to drink lots of water afterwards.

Another yummy durian ice cream outlet is daily scoop ( went to to one at sunset way before, they make fresh ice cream there, patrons can get to view the process)

              Oops ..off topic yeah..
this thread no off topic one. that's why i like. cos i tend to always OT also. haha

i read reviews abt daily scoop but yet to try. drooling now... have to borrow dd's bib.
