she is already here in singapore
she can't shed her chinese citizenship until she reaches 21 years young -

Pardon my ignorance, so it has to be 21 yrs old for renouncement and cannot be earlier?dimsum:
why can't she renounce it now?
not yet 21 y/o -

[quote=\"dimsum\"]why can't she renounce it now?
not yet 21 y/o
parents cannot denounce on her behalf
that is why she has dual citizenship now ..... allowed up to 21st birthday
similarly for the PR boys doing NS = they can only denounce after they reached 21
so don't accuse them of 'want the best of both world', 'insincere', etc....by operation of law, they can't prove their patriotism -
verykiasu2010:
One FT out of the 4 ...heng 75%..... :idea:3Boys:
Oh oh, here we go.......
Again
If I were her I will keep both citizenship :xedfingers: ...............
it take a lot to keep people rooted to a place ........ :scratchhead: -

she has to throw one upon reaching 21, by law
I don't regard her a FT since she has been here since 4
it is just like some singaporeans holding US / OZ / etc citizenship as well, before reaching 21, because they happen to be born overseas -

okie okie, thanks for the clarification.
