Primary One School Orientation

Thanks for your advice. She's attending the one at NAFA, so it's kinda hard to decide
kabalevsky:
it depends. the school's art curriculum is quite general. if your dd's art class is like NAFA kind or some specific kind like chinese brush painting, then it won't overlap.
however, my ds1's school has extra art classes under the PAL programme where the LPN Art school came in to teach the entire P1 cohort for 1 term or was it 1 semester... They dabbled in many different media and tried different techniques and made many things. Mosaic whatnots and dunno what. A lot of stuff was done as a group so ds1 did not bring them back. But kids have to bring old clothes and newspapers cos they are allowed to create a big mess. My ds1 loved these lessons so much! They got a cert after the course, which is how I know that it is this art school that did the course.
you can find out from your school, if overlap, then can cancel the personal enrichment, i guess.

7 enrichment class !! Wow where did you find the time to squeeze in so many classes ?!
-
My DD is in a 3hrs kindy, so she goes for some on weekday & some on weekend.
Next year when she's in P1, there won't be so much time.LeeTaiTai:

Yumin primary school children wears black socks and black shoes. Maybe no need o wash so often. :imcool:
indeed! at least it won't look so dirty and messy if there is actually dirt on it! wish ds' school will allow black shoes!!!phtthp:
when you buy shoes, also can ask if the school allow children to wear black shoes ? some schools allow, others don't.
wear black shoes good - no need to wash every week. -
Macpherson primary school children also allowed to wear black shoes.
how wonderful!
no need to come every Sunday night purposely go and dip in white paint, to coat the shoes white for Monday's use. Troublesome ! :?: -

quite a number of schools can order online, esp. those where the vendor is Pacific bookstore. They deliver right to your door step if you choose to order online, give you some promotion free gift(s) as well. Because during this period is already Nov /December period, season of goodwill.
eg: ACS, Ngee Ann primary, etc.
so meaning as long as sch bookshop vendor is under Pacific Bookstore shld b able to order online right?
Tried to go into their website... but under construction.. :skeptical: -

Once parents received the booklists should be able to order online then.
