I came across a Math Enrichment Centre called the X-Factor Quotient at Thomson Imperial Court. Has anyone tried or got kids enrolled in their centre? Appreciate some inputs.

Thanks for your response. Is it possible if u can to provide a little bit more information on the curriculum and the teachers? I have heard that the teachers were formerly from TLL.

Sorry for late reply. Yes the teachers are TLL, but according to my gal she think she learn more concept from X factor than TLL.

Thanks Bliss-ful for the valuable comments. I too agree that learning concept is very impt at this early stage of education. Will pay them a visit to find out more on the available classes.

Do they have classes from P1 onwards? And how about their fees?

Understand that X factor’s Maths classes are pretty good, as the teachers are ex-Learning Lab. The centre now also offers Science classes, the teacher is said to be an ex-Smart Science Lab tutor. Anyone can provide feedback on the Science classes? Thanks.

Just heard from the teachers that most of their P6 students achieved an A* for their math in PSLE. The top PSLE GEP student Muzammil Arif Din Abdul Jabbar was taking math in their centre as well. Generally, I feel that their curriculum are pitched higher than the schools' curriculum. My child has been with x-factor since last year and I must say she has benefited a lot from the lessons. She is in the GEP class this year and I think she is well ahead of her peers in her class where math is concerned. I strongly recommend this centre if you would like to stretch them further.

Hey Jav.... sorry for the late reply.... was busy with her holiday projects....

My daugther is with Mrs. Lina Ting and she is P4 this year. They are a few teachers there and all of them, I was told, have many years of teaching experiences. Different teachers have their own styles and methods to gel with the students when come to teaching. I like the regular feedbacks from the teacher esp so when my gal is not performing in certain areas. This helps me to followup with her progress at home. Apart from the teachers, the centre's curriculum helps as it is pitched much higher than the normal school curriculum. There is also regular tests and as well as Math Olympiad style questions being exposed to her to better prepare her for the 'killer' questions that may appear during the PSLE. I am glad that my gal always tells me that her school teacher likes to use her work as a reference.
