MP Penny Low apologises for behaviour in NDP
-
Yes… the texting was wrong (and netizens over reacted) but the attempt to deflect and dissimulate was even more wrong (and in this, netizens have good reason to be concerned by a weakness in moral fibre).

Yes I agree. -
maisy:
Great idea.
Actually she wouldn't have drawn that much criticism if she had simply apologised & not try to divert attention away from her glaring mistake by lecturing netizens with \"NDP is a time to unite; not divide\" ... That last sentence was a little out of context... Afterall, who is dividing the country? People are just pinpointing about her inappropriate behaviour during national anthem; not dividing the country. It just made matters worse when she opened her mouth! Maybe it's time to consider attaching PR consultants to MPs (read: job creation! haha) to teach them proper decorum, including what to say & what not to say

I don’t want PR pros defining my MPs. I wanna know who they really are and what they are really made of. After so many years, we begin to know Miss Penny Low a little better. I dun want PR to hide her again.

Oh no! I think he will face disciplinary action if they investigate and confirm that he is the one,http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/...html

not his wife posting those comments. -
Why are these 2 being disciplined when many other comments on fora are worse? This eye for an eye will make the whole world blind.

Ironic that those who tout freedom of speech, complain about the lack of it under the present political regime, would terrorise those who speak their minds, demand their pound of flesh.
Its a very ugly Singapore that is emerging. Much like the riots in London, you don't know what's under the surface until the jar is tipped over, and vinegar pours out instead of wine.
I actually blame the g'ment for this. They had the opportunity to engage and draw the sting of cynicism 20 years ago. Their conservatism and leaden-footedness has created the howling pack that will now not be placated. -
Just curious… did any of you read any of Gay’s postings/blog in forums…?
