      Hi moonee,

Do you work for Citibank - \"never sleep\" or you are in different time zone? :?

Someone posted in another thread that there was an article in ST’s forum page on Sat that a P3 teacher in RGPS punished the girls by pulling their hair, tweaking their ears, and hitting their heads with their Math books? Did anyone read that article? Is it common in the school? OMG!!

Andaiz, yah my girl is bringing her whole big bag to school today too…

:!: :!: :!: That sounds like MY Moral Education teacher when I was in primary school....add the rapping knuckles with wooden ruller too :x

Haven't seen that article, but would have thought that the MOE would have outlawed Capital Punishment in this generation! Shocking indeed! Will read it when I get home....how could that have happened?!

And RGPS better have a good response man!

Mine brought a big bag too ...filled w/gifts ... was so busy wrapping them up last night. But NO gifts for poor parents 😢 ... the REAL teachers.

Yeah, Dharma....take heart, you get your present on Father's Day 😉

Thought the P sent out the circular about no gifts? Her art teacher didn't even want a card (BTW they made a Teachers' Day card during art lesson)
Mine spent Friday night doing up the rest of the cards...then Saturday writing them

Actually, you can tell how much they like each of these teachers by the design and effort.

My dd's teachers DO NOT accept gifts at all. Only cards. She spent all of last night making cards for each of her teachers.

The gifts were simple notebooks. Guess it's ok

You're right, Dharma, you are the real teacher. I'm impressed with how in touch you are with her syllabus and curriculum and how involved you are.

Thanks turquoise. But, actually I was referring to ALL parents. From this forum I realize what parents go thru for the sake of their kids.
