Those are GEP screening results, which are different from GEP selection results. I wonder how many actually got through the selection results.
Yes, my friend's DS is one of the GEP students last year. See also http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=4407&p=278775&hilit=btps+%26+gep#p278775
I know that gifted kids are rare to come by however I believe in nature and nurture . We registered our DS in BTPS this year because we believe in the nurture aspects of school but Not so much so whether they can produce how many GEP students

Currently, there are only 5 classes in P3 this year. Each cohort generally has 5 to 6 classes. By P4, there will be a lot of students transferring out of BTPS, either due to GEP or to more popular schools like Pei Hwa, Nanyang and MGS. -

Yes I agreed with u but provided the principal must show some improvement..... Not just focus on only the top 2 classes. Every child is unique.I believe BTPS will get into balloting in the coming years if they maintain/improve in their academic results. The school is situated in a quiet and rather conducive environment, with no distractions from nearby shopping complexes etcc..
The kids there are mostly english-speaking and seems pretty confident of themselves.
I believe BTPS has the potential to shine.. -

[/quote]Thanks Publica. I think based on those numbers, the percentage of kids getting into GEP from BTPS are about the same as those from the other schools in the Dunearn/BT strech, with probably more from NYPS.

Yes, at P4 there'll be vacancies opening up at NYPS, RGPS, SCGS, MGS etc. Lots of movement then. -
The most intake was in year 2006 registered in Btps for 2007 p1. It was abt 9 classes for p1 which is now all promoted to p5 (7 classes now) due to 40 pupils in a class. top 3 classes are the best and the rest the school name it as mixed ability classes.
