during my time, there was no GEP no SAP, most schools are through train with pre-U centre, remember ? so we had IP school long time ago except we did O level and A level

can i also ask, if the kid rely on enrichment to do HCL, is it recommended that he opt for SAP sec school (eg RVHS etc)?

what do you meant by enrichment ? tuition ? SAP sec school also depends on cut off point etc; but of course SAP sec school environment aides in the language usage as well

fyi, the same tutor coached my two kids for the HCL -- very different outcome

so, conclusion : it is up to the individual

but if your boy's class is not doing HCL, how is he going to sit for HCL in PSLE ? or your boy's class is not Pri 5 yet and aiming for HCL in Pri 5 izit ? if so, go all out for it
