ds2 is doing 'free-style' dancing at home!
        lolz.
he slipped JJLin's hiphop music into the dvd player and dance to his own style, using my reflective tv screen as his 'dance studio mirror'! šŸ˜†
once he tried to do a style of using one hand (on the floor) to support his whole body! i nearly fainted as his arm gave way due to body weight! now he uses 2 hands. šŸ˜“

Oh gosh! thankfully his arm is ok

ok mine just hops and hops and hops to Jai Ho song :slapshead: coz the school plays it for their playtime

?? what is jai ho song?
yes! his arm is ok thankfully! :nailbite:

i sent ds1 to abacus before. see value in teaching 'sense of numbers'.
but the amount of homework is horrendous.

hmm... mine was over reliant on their fingers... and abacus.. DD1 didn't seem to want to let go of her abacus hence I switched maths course for her...

and they didn't have much homework for abacus...

that time, my ds1 was reliant on number bonds. he figured it is easier to group the numbers together rather than do the sums in a 'string' based on abacus formula.
his homework have be up to 80sums (10sum x 8rows) for the week! :faint:

I am just paranoid about DD2's progress... though she is still honeymooning at the moment but compared to DD1, she is quite far behind.. hiaz

my ds1 also more advance at ds2 (at talking and at math) at the same age. only thing that ds2 is more advanced than ds1 is that he can read first and speak mandarin first (early exposure!). and also ds2 now laughs at ds1 for not being able to read simple music scores (ds1 has no interest!).
Don't worry. i have this view that every child will have a skill of some sorts. if he is not good academically, he can be good at someother things, be it socialising, problem solving, doodling etc.

I also see the difference. We cannot compare. So just believe on them they can do.One day they will do.

I have already thrown my hands in the air and \"ren ming\" :rotflmao:

if DD2 becomes some smarty pants, It would be a blessing, if not I am prepared that her learning path would be different from her sister's

Sent my DD to cc abacus last year but stop after 2 terms.
Too much homework and once we heard her talk in her dream the abacus formula so we decided to stop before we kill her interest in math :xedfingers:
