Hi Chix
I am staying in Floravale too  Just moved in 3 mths ago. I was preparing for the worst on the day of ballot. So many people, so many twins. My gal reg no. is 450+ and her namecard was the first few batch to be put into the box. I was thinking if they don't shuffle the papers or shake the box, my chance is equal to 0.
True enuf, most parents who went up to draw didn't really shuffle the papers. Did you realise the first 10-20s drawn were mostly with reg no. 200+. Luckily the staff finally remembered to shake the box a little harder. My gal was no. 45 (counting backwards) when she was called. I was tearing silently, don't want to be too emotional as most of the parents thay day were all very calm and composed. What a stressful day!
The orientation is on 21 Nov - find it a little late. Do you know if there would be any assessments done on the kids that day? -
Hi YPT !! wah hope you seem to like staying in Floravale. its been 1 year for me ,and I am still not getting used to the difference in living in condo and HDB.. which I still prefer,
I dont think there is any assestment..cant wait for the orientation hee hee  anyways ..yeah me too .i went all alone and was surprised to see so many parents already there by 8.30!!!! me too ,my son was 450+,i was on tears already when his name was called out. but hoped no one saw me,, sigh heehhehe... are you a stay at home mummy or working ? me i am a stay at home mum ..see ya!

Hi
I was reading the Singapore P1 Registration School Balloting History page (http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/jurong-west). Would appreciate some advise on how do I intrepret the result. Mainly the App and Tur columns.
Confuse with these 2 columns. Take Pioneer Pri School for example, there are 132% App and 100% Tur, so it means there are 132applications for Phase 2C Supp and 100% applied?
Also, does Phase 2C supp means the extra places left over after all the other Phases (2A-2C)?
Thanks -

The TUR refers to the cumulative take up rate at the end of that specific Phase. Naturally, the TUR should never exceed 100% except in VERY RARE cases involving twins/triplets....Confuse with these 2 columns. The APP refers to the number of applicants vying for places available for a given Phase. It can exceed 100% in which case either cut-off or balloting rules apply. -
