Thanks for pointing out the SBA website.

You are welcome.
FYI, there is a good 12-week beginner course by SBA -> http://www.singaporesports.sg/SCSD
When my ds attended it, the ratio of coaches to trainees was good (6 coaches to 20+ kids). It was held in North Vista Primary School (not sure if the venue will change for future courses) with 4 badminton courts. -
I can’t seem to find Welly Tjia as accredited badminton coach from the SBA website. could you help to confirm please…
Compassvale is too far for me… I am located around Clementi area. It would be great if you know of any good coaches in this area… -

Yes, it's confirmed (unless there's 2 Welly Tjia in Singapore). Please go toI can't seem to find Welly Tjia as accredited badminton coach from the SBA website. could you help to confirm please...

His name is in the list when you click \"Level 2\"
Please note that his name is also found in other CC courses
How old is your kid? The CC course is okay for a start (depending on the coach-trainee ratio) but you would need to have extra practice in order to progress fast ... either on your own (with adults good in badminton) or school CCA or badminton academy or personal coaches. -
Thanks coaches. I see his name now.
thanks for sharing. -
Hi! My son aged 11 is interested to play badminton socially on regular basis but he can’t find boys of similar age to play with him. We stay near Novena/Toa Payoh area. Any of your boys interested?

We play with a few groups. I never seen kids/teenagers at these group unless their parents are playing. I think that's quite a difficult age to find a group to play, unless he has friends in school that plays. You can try looking around at:

Some CCs have once-a-week courses. You can check out Toa Payoh East CC. Do drop by and take a look at the class first to see if it is suitable for your son (as well as coach-kids ratio, ...).
If your son wants to play well, you can consider group personal coaching. He can improve much faster with a small coach-kid ratio while playing with other boys in the class. -
Thanks, coast. My son did attend one of their holiday workshop in June. He found it quite interesting.
Btw, any idea where to get a reasonably good racquet below $150? -
Any one in the west, near Choa Chu kang , interested to learn badminton ? I do for beginner.Only need 4 to start a group.
