your DD1 very discipline! mine need to nag every nite, then will sit down to practise. DS's ting xie for pinyin has progressed to 'da4 xue3' and 'lan1 se4'.
she is  but it is partly due to her K2 cohort who are quite competitive as well.. after a couple of occasions of not having full marks, she realised she needs to revise.

kids naturally love praises, so when she goes enrichments, she goes sky high whenever the teacher says how well she has done. if the teacher commented otherwise, she will have a :gloomy: face and that is when I step to help her , handwriting, her maths and reciting chinese verses...

Didn't want to teach everything and she excels in enrichment without understanding what it means to her.. and take it for granted that she knows everything (because there is mummy teaching her from the side) , maybe it is harsh on a child to feel disappointment or realise she isn't the best but IMO, it would be helpful for her when she moves on to P1 where molly cuddle will have to disappear, whining and reality of competition sets in.

i was paranoid and had DD1 check with the teacher if she will need to write pinyin and \"han zi\" during spelling :faint:

DS wants me to feel proud of him, that's his motivation to get 100% for his ting xie. he will say 'i will do anything for my mummy, i want my mummy to be happy'.
