my DH side big family, he has cousins that are still in primary school. i have problem asking DS to address them as 'uncle' & 'auntie'. To him, they are juz 'Gor Gor' and 'Jie Jie'. :faint:

lol not just mine..... DD1 had a breakdown with my ex coz she said \"everyone\" likes my DD2 more..... :faint: DD2 happened to be those attention grabber type (extrovert)

DDs doesn't have anyone their age.. only younger... hiaz.. so everyone else is like at least 12 years old.... and you know right, teochew have all the naming list to call each member... :faint: if I can't remb...

happens at your CC also? used to happen , thank god now the teacher keeps their things aside in their cubby holes... though it happened during enrichment :faint:

:hi5: i'm teochew too. my side nvr follow strictly, so i address everyone as uncle and auntie. ur DDs can speak teochew?

DH side is cantonese, his grandma can only communicate in cantonese but i can't. very awkward during CNY. His mum has 12 siblings and his dad i think also ard 8, so i have already given up on who is who.

:hugs: teochew not so common...DH also tease me that teochew pronunciation sounds funny...i can understand cantonese but not comfortable to speak in it...
