So can we anticipate that this year PSLE is going to be easier than last year?

Posed the Q to My Gal, And She Go Matter-of-Fact-ly ....
\"No -la. Probably a Disguise .... To Catch us ALL in the Written Paper later ....\"
Different Point of View, hor?

Coz she believes ....
Since Last Year Paper Deemed to Be Easy, So This Year will be Tough ....
Alternate years .... Prophecy ....
😆 😆

Funx, DD also firmly believes that the PSLE papers will be tough this year.
But this year the marking will be lenient. Easy papers:marking very strict, so hard papers are not very good

There was also a sign saying that no food and drink were allowed. Under the sign for \"Students' corner\" were some bookshelves

VC's mum, was the label \"Student Corner\" in English or Chinese, for Chinese Oral ?

English. That's why so many ppl don't know how to say it in Chinese.

Look like we can only know on early September and hopefully they can give us some early reply.

Meantime we will just carry on with the revision!

All the best to your dd on next week exam too! :rahrah:

Brenda,
With the Presidential Election on Sat 27/8/11, Won't the Folllowing Monday Be Holiday?
And TUe is Hari Raya Holiday, And Thu is Teachers' day (Sch Hols?) ....
Then Probably by End of Next Week You Can Hear the Good News from DHS!
😂 😂

Possible. Considering that MOE cut-off date is 2 Sep, all schools have to inform DSA outcome before the date.

\"students' corner\" - is it 学生角落 ? There's students' corner in primary schools these days ? I have not seen any in ds's schools.

Agree! I asked DD if there is a Students' Corner in her sch and she infd no. Asked around and none of the primary schs hv Students' Corner. Understand it is a room on its own called Students' Corner and only sec sch/JCs have such rooms ? :scratchhead: :?

For tomorrow’s oral, let’s remind our DDs and DSs not to be stumped if they can’t translate. As long as they can describe what the place is for. eg they can understand the English words " Students’ Corner" and from the pic, they can gather the purpose/functions of the Students’ Corner.

All the best to all who will be sitting for the 2nd day of PSLE oral !

Not Nessarily a Room ....
Could Be an Open Area, a Lounge Area, ....
Or Just Any Spare Space Big Enuf to throw in some furniture, Book Shelves, Wall Decor for the students to relax in ....

But agree that have not encounter this in Pri Sch ....
More Common for Sec Sch / JC and Tertiary Institures
😂 😂

Sure, not necessary a room but is there any clearly labelled "student’s corner" for primary school ?

The purpose of oral exams is to test the child’s oral skills so I don’t see any point throwing in a focus which requires them to deduce functions from an English label. But, oh well…

How’s today topics ?

Hi morning,

Just came back after chatting with DD's classmate mother.

Today DD is on 2nd group and we went McDonald for breakfast and she had 20 minutes game before reporting to school.

Wish all the P6 students good luck for this final round of EL/CL oral!!! :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah:

Hello Brenda,

Good morning.
DS is also in 2nd group, but for both day.

He was just happy going to school cos the teachers in school are so supportive and warm.I am so touched by the little gesture by the teachers, as told by DS.One of the girl, whole hair was so messy, and the teacher actually helped her to tie the hair again.Night before, Eng teacher send three full pages of sms to all 41 kids in class to give them the due support.

The teachers joke and cheer them all. This is something I never had during my school days.

Cheers,
Leanne
