        Vanilla Cake:
Just to share DD2's recall on today's 2011 PSLE Oral - Day 2 on EL:

        Reading Aloud
Passage was about a young girl called Su Lin who was having a bad toothache and in great pain. She was scared to visit the dentist but her mother insisted that she must go there. Reluctantly, she and her mother went to the clinic to seek treatment from the dentist. After coming out from the clinic, Su Lin was smiling and realised that the experience (treatment) was not as painful as what she had thought.

        Picture discussion
The setting was a scene inside a clinic. At the top left side of the picture, there were cabinets. One of the cabinets was opened and rows of medicine could be seen arranged neatly. In front of the cabinets, there was a counter to receive payment and possibly storing as well as dispensing medicine. A man could be seen taking out a $50 dollar note and about to pay the cashier (lady). At the top right hand corner, there was the consultation room. The consultation room was labelled as \"Room 1\" and underneath was the name of the doctor - \"Dr John Lim\". To the left side of the consultation room, there was a bench where a mother could be seen comforting her young daughter who was crying with her right hand being bandaged. Above them, there was a poster showing the picture of healthy diet in the form of a pyramid. In front of the crying young daughter and her mother, there were two boys fighting over a toy car. Next to them (2 boys) on the right, there was a mother holding her toddler.

        Conversation
Talk about an experience of you going to the clinic.

        VC's mum
:thankyou: for your detailed sharing, VC's mum.

Your DD really has an eye for finer details. πŸ˜‚

Happy that Chinese oral is over. DS failed CL oral in P5, and when he said CL psle oral today was easy …I am over the moon. Was worried when I saw yesterday’s discussion on the "student activity corner". Today’s CL pic and conversation topic seemed relatively easier, thankfully for him who is "yellow banana" type

Congrats to all dd and ds who had done well in the oral.

For those who had done well in the chinese oral, it is like one quarter of the battle won. πŸ™‚ Seemed like many were lucky today in spotting the correct topic.
