u guys should also see head to head btw TT and TCB

i don't really understand what is TT trying to say -

I think in these sort of situations, some argument is normal. The sad thing was what appeared to be a 'threat' . Hints of a take-it-back-or-face-a-defamation-suit warning, imho.
i think TT was a bit rude to interrupt like that
why was he so offensive?
and i feel there was a bit of threatening involved
:offtopic: , but the ISA Act has always been a debatable topic. In my opinion, in these modern times, it is necessary sometimes in order to arrest any potential terrorist threats before it is effected. But it should not in anyway be abused to use against political opponents, as TJS pointed out. How can we verify for a fact the action was justified ? TT mentioned the Norwegian attack, but HE will be charged in court of law, and get his deserved punishment when he is PROVEN guilty. The key word here is PROOF.
a few reads on past incidents and also past detainees' personal comments

There are a lot more articles floating around on alleged wrong detention under ISA. But like I said, I think some form of Act is necessary to combat modern terrorism, maybe the new President will suggest and push for the government to tweak this Act, so that it cannot be able to be wrongly used against political opponents, just to be fair for all. MHO only. -

Maybe it is because my expectation has been set so low after reading the comments on this thread, I actually don't think it is that bad leh. Maybe he got about 10% of the pronunciation off? Not sure if he has studied Chinese at all, but if he hasn't, I personally think it is not that bad. Even my child's spoken Mandarin can be very off at times too  , and she is supposed to be good according to her teachers already...verykiasu2010:
TT's mandarin very hilarious lah .....
It's hypy without the intonation - yes, very funny. Positive in that he tried.
But I'm just curious why he doesn't seem so prepared - thought candidates would have rehearsed like mad before the actual event.
and my DH's Mandarin is worse than his... That one zero intonation!

No, I didn't read that cos that is happening everyday some get caught many are still out there doing it. But I read this, the games politicians play - http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-08-18/s-p-moody-s-mortgage-security-ratings-are-said-to-face-u-s-investigation.html
Did you not read about the recent McKinsey consultant case and the fund manager? Or the Berkshire-Hathaway manager who front-run Lubrizol? -
after showing my kids the video clip on the clash between TT and TJS, they were asking if TT is answering the question. Now I understand why some forummers say he always goes round and round in circles not answering questions.
Also donโt like the look on his face when TJS spoke. He was like brushing TJS off, just like garment brushing pp off when they air their views. One step nearer to my decision on who Not to vote for. -

Teo or Yeo ? She contested in the GE, right ?

My goodness. I didn't think TT's speech in Mandarin was THAT BAD until I saw the video myself. The beginning was fine, he was still smiling. It got so strenuous I wished there were subtitles to help me along. I don't really find the English accented Mandarin funny, but some mistakes in pronunciation really brings out different meaning, e.g.\"้ ็่ชๆฌบ็ๅชๅ\" instead of ่ชๅทฑ็ๅชๅใ :faint:
