Although I didn't really time the duration of the massage n nose spa but I noted I always stayed there for almost 45mins to an hour for both session...

May i know how to get to Havelock as i'm cluless of that area. There's only one doctor there?I wonder the treatment is long term or short term.

        Thanks for sharing

I always take a cab down and tell taxi uncle havelock road at beo cresent there take cte and exit at outram. Havelock road also near tiong bahru mrt abt 5mins walk but it's hard to direct you in text. Whether long or short term depend on child condition. Like mine I see results in two weeks intensive treatment then now I reduce to 4 visits a week and slowly reduce to 3 or 2 visits aweek. But since I am SAHM I will bring my bb at least once a week even after she recover to build and maintain her immunity and overall well being. There only one female doctor.

Usually about 10 - 15 mins. The first tuina was very brief. As it goes, the physician increases the duration gradually. After the tuina, my DD will go thru the nebulizer cuz of her nasal allergy condition. This part takes longer than the tuina itself.

                  Hi,

I am a mother of 3 kids and i have been bringing them to Herbal Basic TCM at Havelock road for almost a year. One thing i would like to clarify, the duration of their xiao er tuina is not 10 - 15 mins. My experience with them on xiao er tuina is it has always last for more than 20 mins per session. Also their nose treatment is not using nebulizer (which is only use by western doctor), but a warm-heat steam vaporizer device together with some kind of herbal solution, which they call it \"Nose Spa\".

As far as I know, they are quite specialized in treating nose problems, and they have different formula of herbal solutions for different nose conditions like blocked nose, nose allergy, cold & flu, nose & throat infections, etc.

My 3 kids was quite prone to \"cold & flu\" due to nose allergy, and after receiving xiao er tuina + nose spa therapy for few months, their conditions have very much improved and fall sick less often now.

Is the nose spa just steam or with herbs?Wonder we can buy the apparatus and do it at home.

                  Thanks for sharing

                    Hi,
Is steam with herbal solution. Whether can do it at home you have to ask the physician. As we always do it in the clinic.

                      Hi Taurus,

There are many reasons to why a child coughs, if your nephew has been treated by western medications on cough for months and yet the cough persist, then perhaps the docs didn't address to the root of the problem. One possibility for such case is that the cough is indirectly caused by the nose problems, whereby the nasal mucus back-flow irritates or causes infection to the throat and/or respiratory tract, therefore the child coughs.

My daughter had similar situation some times back and was cured by few sessions of xiao er tuina cum herbal nose spa at the TCM clinic @ Havelock road. I find that their method is very effective for curing cough due to nose problems, as compared to oral medications.
