about the chi compo, i also think it should be creative and original. it's uphill task for my boys. they don't have enough vocab, don't know how to read and write many words because they were not in Sg for sometime.

but because I want them to love the language, I haven't resorted to memorisation of compos or phrases yet. still trying the long way of more exposure - read more, speak more...

although it is taking a long time to catch up but as long as they are improving, I am satisfied.
For P1/P2, I will try to use more cheng yu at home to build that portion of the vocab. My sentence structure is not perfect and some nouns are wrong, so will try to improve. There's this dino series that's quite nice, DS love them alot and also a mouse story, quite cute. I bring them during the playdate, if you think your DSs will like them, you can buy or borrow from library.

yup DIY. I crushed the Hup Seng (think it's the spelling) cream crackers and coat the marinated pork chops. I also made the sauce for the kids. DH preferred it plain without the sauce.

Serving it with rice, broccoli and fish. I'm awful with Chinese soup, and DH a bit tired, so we skipped the soup. I'm great with western soup though.
 I'm opposite of you, good with chinese soup, lol barely there with western soup

Wah Sahm Tan! all the food description made me so hungry! i could picture the pork cutlet, your western soup and Kiss’ chinese soup!

                i need supper again!

abt the Jap/ Korean curry, i do it once in a while too. can’t eat it too often, but my boys like it. trad curry they can’t stomach too.

abt caffeine while nursing, it doesnt affect your dd? it makes my dd unable to sleep well too. she is more fitful and doesnt fall asleep easily, so i try to abstain. bt it’s v tough when i’m v tired!

i’m definitely not going to nurse her as long as she wants. when she hits 2 maybe i’ll slowly wean her off gradually!

Korean curry is like Jap curry. I think their food and culture share a lot of similarities. I learnt a lot abt Koreans and their culture when I was in China. 🙂
