      smartmummy,
Your DS's school CA2 exam covers topics even from Book 3A? :yikes: that will be a lot of topics to revise!

      Champion,
my kid's CA2, except for chinese (phew!), the other 3 subjects cover all topics from Term 1.

Hi Jedamum, glad to see you here! :hi5:

:yikes: My DD1 is opposite from your D2 - only for Chinese - the topics for CA2 covers from Book 3A 第一课 to Book 3B 第十六课! 😓 😓

                Hi smartmummy

My DS1 doesn't 'use' PSP altho' we have 1 in the house - he's only allowed to play with it on 'special occassions' - ie when mummy/daddy allow.

I try to control his computer usage to just on weekends/holidays - unless he has homework to do in LEAD.COM. Other times, he plays about 15mins & rest 5mins before doing the next 15mins. I am still able to control his usage for now. Especially since he started wearing specs recently & the optometrist re-inforced the 'do not sit in front of the computer too long' message. 😉

My dd prefers iphone. psp is white elephant at home now.

I have a point system. Accumulate 500 points in exchange of 1 hour iphone time. Took her 3 to 4 month to accumulate though, so very hard to earn enough points to play at home.

However, she gets ‘free’ iphone time whenever we are outside. She gets to play while waiting for food to be served or whenever we’re shopping.

                      Hi smartmummy

He has to request for PERMISSION before playing. I give him about 30-45mins computer time per day (weekends/holidays only). For him to ‘manage’ what he plays. Will insist that he finishes his homework & piano practice before playing. He’s into FIFA right now, each match takes abt 15mins - so just nice for him to take a break. Sometimes his daddy plays FIFA too, so he’ll watch - extra ‘watching’ time for him. Sometimes my bro comes with his iPAD & he’ll play that - forfeit his computer time.

We have both PSP and Xbox, however they can only play during June and Dec school holidays. In fact, the Xbox was a reward for him from my dh 2 years ago when he did well in his P1. It can be really addictive... and my dh actually regretted buying it... :slapshead:
