Hi Mei Zi,Welcome onboard Irene ^v^
I am also 'excited' in a way on the orientation. Can't imagine you must have been on your toes during the balloting.
As seen from the older posts, seems like we should be receiving some instructions from the school before the actual orientation date (um ....)
Should you received any letter or whatever from them, could you leave a post here too?
You know, last week I got a call from them as they received a bounced mail on their letter to me. It was a bursary letter sent to all parents and you guess what? They handwritten my address wrongly thus the letter did not reach me. They called to apologise and also at the same time asked me on my response as it was too late for them to post the letter again. I told them to be careful as it may be important document to us and verified that they have my records correctly. So you see, human-error (phew!)
I also received the bursary letter, but i not entitled to apply for it.
BTW, the P1 orientation is on 30/11, 9am. They will brief us what to get and which class our kid will be going into. I called up the 3G abacus and they will have orientation at school on that day, they will start intake children on that day. If you interested, you can take alook.
i personally feel that after my duagthter attended the 3G abacus for 1.5yrs, her maths is quite good. -

Me too. The balloting was conducted in the school compound and we are lucky to get a seats in NCPS. -
Hi, how about anybody know NCPS is a SAP school? I went to see the website and do research, but heard nothing abt NCPS as a SAP school? But my friend told me, it is?
-

I am not really into abacus kinda courses but am opened to it during their orientation. I have gathered feedbacks from my friends who had gone through abacus courses (mental calcultation, etc.). Kids tend to become 'lazy' during their maths lesson/tests as with their abacus skills, they get answers real fast in mind, but what the school looks for are their working/calculation on paper on how they get the answers. In the end, all answers are correct but not 100 in score was received as his working did not shows the answers arriving in steps. It was feedback from my friends lah. Its like an enrichment to train the brain so I am pretty open with it but did not enrole him during his pre-primary days.
My boy was actually doing some pre-primary maths minder class with anchorvale cc for about 6 months before the class was terminated due to low enrolement rate. The teacher and lessons were good but no parents like it which i don't know why. I really find that its a pity. Lots of parents went to abacus after attending the first course so i guess abacus was more popular in a way .... -

Also not affliated school to Nan Chiau High School, so sad. -
Sorry did not login for a while.
Agape only has childcare. They stopped student care 2 yers ago. The student card centre nearby is called Polaris. You can called them at 68810616. For afternoon session kids, the teachers there will walk them to the school after their lunch and shower. -
Hi Everyone
,
Any parents have experience or enroled their child with Seng Kang CC's Chinese language lessons? There are two trainers conducting same classes for same levels. I am wondering which one is better (Ms Lin Yin or Ms Ho Peck Hong) and able to relay to children well. Thanks for the advice and have a good long weekend ahead.
