          Good evening moms!

Can I ask if you all have nice places to recommend that can satisfy the whole family? I am thinking of planning some activities for the many upcoming hols.

Want to bring the family to some outdoor places instead of indoor this time. But need more ideas as to where is family-friendly and the parents plus kids of all ages can have some fun.

Think this thread might be useful cos many of you have kids ranging from very young (toddler) to primary school and above…

Some places bore my older sons and some places are good for them but has nothing for the toddler. Then some places make Dh not even wanna go cos he finds he’ll waste his whole day going there.

          Think think thinking…

Universal studio is fun. For the toddler, there are the shows and can walk walk and look at the characters who are out on the street. Yours is about 17mos old, so should be ok on the merry-go-round and the mini ferris wheel. We went the other time and it was good for all. My bb was still under 1yo, so basically she just stare and sleep heehee.

For the zoo, we took the ferry to the kids zone and let them have a ride on the horse. Then we look tour the zoo.

Then there’s the usual bird park, and hort park (3 playgrounds), east coast park(now there’s family type cycle, whereby 4 pple can ride in a double bicycle contraption.) We still rent separate rides for the kids, when they get tired, they can still hope onto our contraption. It’s a bit cumbersome to "drag" the extra ride but can be done. My bb enjoyed herself on the ride with me heehee.

I "psycho" DH on the need for kids to have outdoor activities, so he’s been reformed some what haha.

Although this is an indoor game, I was thinking of bowling as an activity, but need to check out if there’s shoes size for the kiddos.

How about flying kites? Farm visits? My kids like to fish in the longkang type farm, but pity those fishes. Picnic at Reservoir? There’s pony rides at Pasir Ris park, Bedok reservoir park as this Forest Adventure, this will not be suitable for toddler but maybe she can just run around?

That’s all my brain juice can think of for now heehee

wow wow! that's a lot to think about.

              :thankyou:!

universal studios may be a bit exp for family of 5? did u get a season pass?

but i have clean forgotten about Hort Park. Last went there long long ago and the boys did like it a lot. Time to revisit. Then its also near Ikea, can go there to eat after that. nice!

I did not get a season pass, it will be too ex :yikes: . We went b4 DS 4th bday, so he gets in for free but gets to take rides suitable for him, heehee  He's quite tall, so as long as not terribly frightening ones, he was game. He even enjoyed the kids roller coaster haha

We treat it as inbound vacation. We booked a hotel and everything 😉

oh, kids under 4 enter for free? that's nice. ok, so i just pay for 4? well i suppose if you treat it as vacation then it's still cheaper than flying out somewhere, say, to Australia or Korea. 😆

i stick to Hort Park, Zoo etc first. maybe b4 dd's 4th bday, we go. kekeke
