@kabby, which is why I'm trying to clear her wkends, so that she can play.

I take it your DS1 does not have tuition?
good for your dd. you are giving them very balanced lifestyle!

ya it'd be a little embarrassing for a trained tr to have my kids go for tuition. or maybe it's just me. i think i can still handle the coaching at this stage. in future, don't know.

also, i'm not the tai tai kind of SAHM. we made a lot of sacrifices so I could stay home. I have to be very selective over the types of enrichment or tuition that the kids receive. Hence, for now, only ds1 goes for piano lessons. and that's it.

they will learn swimming in Pr school, ds2 learns piano from me. not the best or most ideal situation, but it'll do for now. šŸ™‚

ya it's quite sad how play time reduces so much in Primary sch huh?

for ds1, he loves recess time so so much cos it's the time when he can play, go all out and play.

he and his friends quickly gobble down their food and rush to play. anything that is the fad. right now it is soccer (cos a lot of parents watch soccer and comment at home, I think?)

then sometimes it is rugby! i ask him, where did you get the rugby ball? he said, aiyah, just a green tea bottle lah.

                    orh... good lah, can improvise.

but then, ds1 always complains, sometimes the queue is long, by the time they gobble down their food, and get to playing, sometimes they're just only warmed up (maybe 4-5min play) then the bell rings.

so poor thing!! only 30min recess lei!
sigh... they should give the kids more time for recess ya?

Erm... Is it good to play after recess? Just ate leh...

                    not so good.
actually not so good to gobble down food too.

but i close one eye cos it's the only time they can do whatever they want. the rest of the periods they must listen to tr. i think boys need some time to burn off energy then they will be refreshed and pay attention the rest of the day.

Dr Seuss, i love Dr Seuss.

THere are shorter ones. I read Dr Seuss when they are newborns cos it rhymes nicely and somehow babies light up with rhyming up and down intonation.

It's very sing song, and nonsensical sometimes and funny.

They also have a series about serious things, like maps, plants, weather and so on. You need pics? I can try snap a pic. I have quite a collection of Dr Seuss and Eric Carle too, cos they're kind of classics.
:hi5: I saw their serious versions , picked up 1 of it so far since it is still quite hard for DDs to understand šŸ˜“

Yet to check out Eric Carle though
