@kabby, which is why I'm trying to clear her wkends, so that she can play.

I take it your DS1 does not have tuition?

good for your dd. you are giving them very balanced lifestyle!

ya it'd be a little embarrassing for a trained tr to have my kids go for tuition. or maybe it's just me. i think i can still handle the coaching at this stage. in future, don't know.

also, i'm not the tai tai kind of SAHM. we made a lot of sacrifices so I could stay home. I have to be very selective over the types of enrichment or tuition that the kids receive. Hence, for now, only ds1 goes for piano lessons. and that's it.

they will learn swimming in Pr school, ds2 learns piano from me. not the best or most ideal situation, but it'll do for now. šŸ™‚

            Understand what you mean.

In case wondering why I log in so early in the morning. I had a very bad dream about group of bugs launching strategic attack that I can't go back to sleep for now.

Will you DS2 go for piano exams?

Hmm, I don't think me teaching him in the long run is that structured or good, so probably have to switch him to ds1's teacher when I return to work? My return to work is scheduled already, so at least that's a fixed timeline i can work with. šŸ™‚

As for exams, ds1 is not taking yet too. I intend to let them skip exams as far as possible, taking only the compulsory ones. so they get to widen their repertoire and not play only the exam pieces.

it's similar to IP school, and the scrapping of p1 and 2 exams for pr schs. haha.

[/quote]Yeah, my DD1 will only finish her 4 years with Yamaha end this year and I will only engage the teacher to teach her next year at home. Don't mind the grading to add on stress on her else she might not enjoy music in the later stage. I will also let the 2005 DD2 starts her formal piano lesson next year. So, come 2012 will be a challenging one! šŸ™ šŸ™
