somehow I believe there’s a feeling of stability and security when you have siblings around you and I think even young children can sense camaraderie in a crowd.

Yes, got a helper since no. 2 was born. Now thinking of going maidless next yr but DH strongly against. Also don’t have the courage to do so. So need more inspiring stories…read abt some pastor’s wife with 7kids and no maid as well, very inspiring indeed.

Had a helper when daughter was born. Gone maidless since she turned 4. It's been 3 years since we sent the last maid packing. Mum helps out with meals...closed 2 eyes when it comes to cleaning windows...other than that, still doing general stuff like cleaning carpets, fans & changing curtains...depends on my mood.

I have a live-in domestic helper with me for 5+ years. The children are under her care during the daytime and I have to say,\" Trust\" is the mutual word we have for each other 😄 ...

With 3 kids, it is never easy; least so for mine the gap is big - P3, K2 & a bb turning 2 next month. Factory closes liow so now is the task of nurturing them 😄

If you are blessed to have a reliable maid, you can really go to work without worrying. It's not easy to have to look after 3 kids...furthermore your youngest is just 2. Procreation job done (aka NS done)...now is the tougher job - Nurturing.

You're so right. Giving birth just need 10mths, nurturing will take at least 18yrs( juz an estimation). Old people used to say \"养儿防老\", I would said \"养儿烦恼"! :rotflmao:

Ya, I also got a maid after my second one born. My planning is to send my maid home after both kids in childcare. My first maid created problem and was sent home after 4 mths with me. My second maid seem better than the first one and I hope she'll be my last one. If my current maid can extend, i'll extend her, but if she cannot, I'll not hire the 3rd one.
No maid, more works, but more carefree. Hire a part-time la!

dear mommies with >= 3 kids,

curious … how do you teach & guide them all concurrently at the same time at home ? can share ?

do you put all 3 kids together at the same round / rectangle table, stand in front of the white board to teach at one shot, then assign them do different homework assignment(s) ? ask the older ones mark homework for younger ones, explain where they go wrong ?
