      Jennifer:

In case the sch circular dated 22 Aug 2011 is folded into airplane by some of the children, just sharing here:

There is a HOD for Maths now- Koh Cher Hern (dunno male or female).

Son told me HOD Math is a MALE.

      I just did a search on \"Koh Cher Hern\"- \"President Award for Teachers 2004\", \"Best Mathematics Teacher\" & from St Hilda's Pri Sch.

Think PH Maths std is going up soon πŸ˜“

Janet, all the best for next year. 2013 will be my turn at PSLE :nailbite:

Oh yes, so many 'love letters' and changes to the timings.. I'm quite confused actually, so does the Mid Autumn event still start at 5.30pm on the 31st? School for pm session ends at 3pm that day, and the kids hang ard for 2 hours? :?

Mrs Foo was from St Hilda Pri too right? I thought Ms/Mrs Chang (Discipline Mistress) is the M HOD? Hope this new M HOD is good, seeing that he had garnered quite a few awards.

The kids will go home as per normal during dismissal. Bring the kids to the Mid Autumn Celebration in the evening if you've signed up for it.

When speed reading the letter, I totally miss out on the new HOD Math part.

Without him, the standard is already rather high from what I gathered from the posts on the kids' P5 Math results in the past years. However, with him around, I hope the kids are in better hands after the disastrous results in P5 and cope better thereafter. πŸ˜‰

my sons have gone thru 2 tuition teachers. both said the CL standard/expectation in PH is very high....even higher than Nanyang. they taught Nanyang students before, so they know.

Over the 3 years, I see the standard of chinese rising significantly every year. From the posts of the PH parents with kids in upper primary, I deduce every year is a great jump for HCL.

Just sharing: HOD CL's eldest child is in a SAP sec sch. I believe he gets a better feel of what's expected at sec sch lvl and can prepare PH pupils to be able to \"swim\" at sec lvl CL.[/quote]Thanks for your sharing. Now, I feel more 'justified'. Haha.

All the best to all the Pri 3 kids sitting for tomorrow's GEP Screening Test. Tomorrow's gonna be a hectic day for them since they'll be sitting for both English and Mathematics papers on the same day.

                        Hope ALL Can Perform Well!
Best Wishes to ALL the Boys And Gals in your GEP Tests!

I just thank God that she can make it today cos she started running a slight fever last evening - too much sun over the weekends. This morning, she went to school with a stuffy nose but in good spirits. Whatever the results are, we trust in God. That will the best thing to do for us and my dd. πŸ˜„

The last time she sat for an assessment, she was down with sinusitis. It was during SA1 Science, and yet, she did amazingly well. Haha...

To us, it's just an assessment and exposure for her. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ I told her to just have fun while working on the questions and try her best. She replied how can something so serious be related to 'fun'? πŸ˜‚ Some of her classmates were painstakingly preparing for it and even cheered one another on in the class blog. πŸ˜„
