What’s the COP for O level admission to ACSI Year 5?
-
Officially it’s written as 5, but the vice principal said it’s partial 3, which means not everyone with 3 can get in. There are some spaces for those who do not have HMT and cannot get the 2 bonus points.

Why is there difference betn official 5 & actual 3. is there any DSA for Girls? -
I have no idea why it's listed as 5. I guess it's because they have some spaces for those without HMT and cannot get the 2 bonus points.
Yup, I DSAed for year 5 and was selected.
There were about 5 or 6 more girls who were selected too. -
Which sec school were you from, twilight?

Hi I’m new to this forum. My son is in year 2 at acs independent but didn’t get into ib because of hast test. His grade avg is high. Thinking of transferring to a better o level school. Any advice? Not sure whether to stick on and try in year 4.
-
I think it is better to stick on, after all, your ds will be given first preference,right?..why do u think otherwise?
BTW,anyone got any news about WLs getting a CO from ACSI? cant tahan the wait… -
Thanks. Yes, it makes sense to stick on if committed to IB but just taking a step back to rethink. my concern is really the o level performance of the school. I guess it is not surprising given the split between IB and O levels so that their better students are in IB.

Had asked the following in the RI & HCI thread, and will do the same for ACSI thread. Hope helpful KSPs will help …
1) Does ACSI have school bus transportation from the East to campus? My DS had CO from RI, HCI n ACSI n we r trying to decide which is most convenient for him. Don’t see the need to spend so much time traveling.
2) How do students taking 3rd language make their way to moelc? Does the school provide transport? How far is it from school?
3) What is the typical school hours in ACSI? Do they come home only during dinner time everyday? If so, how to cope w homework, if any?
Any info will be appreciated. Thank you!
