Actually my ds very pitiful , his crazy teachers make him works fr 7am-11pm everyday. his days occupy with supplementary lesson and homework .somedays

they even have nightclass 6:30- 930pm after he comes back home still has homework to do …
when he complains to me, what I can do is just encourage him that

Phone call with good news for my boy first thing this morning. Nothing so exciting, not premier school, but comforting news nevertheless. I thought not to let him know so he won't be too \"proud\" of himself, but got to go for meeting tomorrow. ;(

            :congrats: to ur DS. :rahrah:
            May I ask which school?

CHS. It's actually the school he wants to go .
:congrats: phankao!

seems like an over-do to me, even night class ...

may be the teachers are insecure, not the kids ....

what school is that ? (is okay if don want to disclose)

Your son's school has nightclass until 9.30pm? Oh dear! Is it compulsory? Can you take your son out of those classes? At this point I think rest is very important.

Double congratulations on getting a CO from his dream school. :rahrah: :rahrah:

I wouldn't dare say its his dream school. It's the most realistic one lah. ALtho' must say it's rare that they even give DSA COs to their own affiliated school boys, so it's nice to feel wanted. I wonder what will be the outcome of the other school he applied to. Don't know have any chance or not. I think in all likelihood, he will go to CHS anyway.

So long as it's a school your son is happy to go to. Which is the other school he applied to? NJC to join his ge-ge?
no worries.. CHS is a GREAT school to be in.. the teachers there are very dedicated and committed. i'm sure your DS will like the school if he eventually chooses to join CHS. 😄

                      hi jtoh,

besides demonstrate exceptional ability over subjects like Maths - how about other subjects like Science, English or Chinese ?

are these 3 other subjects also considered, or the DSA panel of decision makers only interested in Maths ? Thanks for info.
My Gal's Classmate Got CO from RGS, DSA thru Academics - English.
From What My Gal Told Me, Not the TOP-TOP Result kinda student thru Pri Sch ....
But Very Good In English ....

Also applied to DHS, but his grades are not so great, so maybe won't get afterall. Which is fine - DHS is so far. He also applied just to see if he can get in, and to give himself a choice.
