when i heard that GEP programme teach subjects like up to lower Sec 1 level, i wasn’t surprised. To me, GEP programme is something like a modified accelerated lower Secondary programme cramped into primary school 3 yrs programme from P4-P6, with lots of projects assignments thrown into the GEP programme.

but if RI tests a P6 child with Science tests equivalent to Sec 3/4 standard, i think it’s too much. gosh! Sec 3 /4 the gap is too far away for a P6 child. Test Sec 1 level is still ok, because the gap is much smaller.

          hi Ms tay,

is it they cramp all the P6 kids in the school like that, or cramp only a handful of students including your son ?

              :congrats: Emelyn!
Wow your boy's Class must be the \"Icing\" on the Cream!
Thanks Funx3 and all. It was very a nervous time for us. Because from this forum, I knew that the letter is inside the letter box. But only hubby has the key !!! So, DS1 kept calling him to come home quickly !

NUSHS DSA is in 2 phases, selection test and selection camp. In the selection camp, where the students are split into groups and each group is guided by 1-2 assessors, to observed their conduct and their knowledge for each of their assignment. I would guess they are looking for attitudes towards sciences mainly during the camp.
The DSA for NUSHS is over, you are planning for next year?

rumors has it that 1M, 1P & 1Q are all the top scorers with competition experience and awards, incidentally this year's Euler members also from these 3 classes

                      Rumors only

seems that it also applies to current year 2 students.

:yikes:  oh, poor boy!!! This is horrible!!! Nightclass!!!! Why is the school doing that? Can't the parent feedback to the school!. I think this is too much!!!!!

Wah this school very scary. But maybe if they have it in my son's school, he won't mind going. haha. He's afterall just slacking at home.

His teacher arranged some revision classes - not everyday, and not every week either. Just maybe a few classes before PSLE. Some of them are 6.30-8.30pm. But my son very happy to be going, leh. He told me to reply on the form that he can go. haha.
