depends the price and booking terms

some special offers need to pay on booking and cannot change date etc

some hotel rates just used the credit card number as a guarantee for late arrival (usually after 6 pm) and only charge to card on departure, must bill you for minibar and restaurant bills also ma.......

Ya, depending on the promotion.. for my hotel they already charged to my credit card and I have made the payment already. :moneyflies:

DL no choice, they charged to my credit card already. Kowloon hotel i email them i wish to pay cash, they said noted and will receive cash from me upon check out… whahaha… happy save on the convertion! it also means i need to change more money

when is good time to change money? Lately exchange rate fluctuates quite a lot from 6.37 to 6.43.

now can change these few days is 6.4 to 6.42… i change bit by bit…so that if drop also wont lose out that much…

We had stayed at Marco Polo Prince.
- Room was good, they did a free upgrade to a suite for us. But did not really enjoyed it as we were out of the hotel most of the time.
- Loved the location. Lots of shopping & restaurants within the same building and just across the road. Walking distance to MTR.

The Salisbury + Jetstar ~ $700

Tour agency F&E booking:
Marco Polo + CX ~ $1000

Am wondering if I should spend the difference to fly on a regular carrier for a short flight, and for a room where I will only use for sleep n shower. I'm the sort of traveller who is out the whole day, and do not use hotel facilities at all. Travelling with a girlfriend who is a shopaholic.

if like that I would take the Salisbury, cheaper, clean and good, more convenient than Marco Polo, save the money for makan or shopping, and you might be lucky to get a harbour view room, and hop over the the Pen anytime you feel like it
