Stamford Primary

Hi jacsplace,
I did not register at Stamford, as I am not sure whether Stamford is a better choice among those that still available at Phase 2Cs, around this area.
We struggled on the last registration day. In the end we choosed the other school.
However, i am still thinking whether we should go for Stamdford instead? We will re-register at Phase 3 if yes (Not sure whether we can do so). Anyway to find out the quality of this school in recent years? Please share if you know much of the school. -
Hi Happy gel,
Which school did you choose?
Stamford has been around for many years. My husband’s nephew studied there and had a good experience. We only have a choice of Stamford and Farrer Park. Farrer Park is closer, but we heard it has a lot of discipline issues. Also, it has always had more vacancies after every P1 registration each year. Stamford has vacancies too, but at least not so many.
I went through all the links at Stamford’s website and they seem to be doing all the right things. -
Orientation is at 9am on 12 November. Who’s going?

Stamford Primary, along with Tampines North Primary and Innova JC, were given the basic Certified level Green Mark by BCA early this month. Good news for Stamford because the school is very keen on the environment. Read more about this award at http://www.bca.gov.sg/Newsroom/pr04082011_GMES.html

Hello everyone! My name is Thea. I just got great news that my daughter Zoie got accepted at Stamford Primary. So happy since this is based on the proximity of my workplace to the school and we are foreigners registering during the Phase 3 period. I have good vibes about this school and my daughter’s teacher has recommended it.
Great to meet you all! -
Hi Thea, great to hear from you. What country are you from?
-
Hi, does anyone know anything about what P1 is like in this school? Please share your experiences.
Thank you. -

Hi Thea, great to hear from you. What country are you from?
Hi jacsplace,
Philippines.
My daughter is currently studying at a nearby childcare, Tai Pei Childcare Centre. I also found very good reviews on that school in this forum.
Yeah, it will be great if someone can share how P1 is like in Stamford please. I was told by one of the parents that they have only 1 morning session. We will move to a nearby location before the school opening so my daughter will not get stressed by too much traveling.
P1 registration here in Singapore is quite an experience.

Hi Thea,
Welcome to Singapore. Yes, I agree with you about the P1 registration
Yes, it’s a single-session school. The government wants all primary schools to be single session in four years time. -
hey thanks a lot
we moved here last year and love the country so much.
thanks for the new info. single session would be morning?
