-
We baked cookies, cupcakes last 2 years, this year baking brownies. put in small Glad sandwich bags (colourful ones). This year ‘upgraded’ to tupperwares - small ones that were on offer. Budget $5 or less (for tupper).

my friend told me when her son was in an elite primary school, parents would give expensive gifts like bird nest products to lady teachers and branded shirts/belts etc for male teachers :yikes:

teachers aren't supposed to receive gifts that are too costly. They will need to declare if they do. (But I do wonder how many will) Hence it is easier to give hand made and home made stuff.
Having said that, there are teachers who will decline expensive gifts.

:yikes: wa! to showoff, bribe or curry favor?
Here's my theory. Not all but maybe for some who are used to such lifestyle, it's auto that they think of such gifts. Maybe to them, it's very normal stuff.yqyq:

:yikes: wa! to showoff, bribe or curry favor?
maybe to showoff but I am sure teachers here are not the type to 'ask' for such expensive gifts, it's the rich parents who tend to go overboard with thisyqyq:
